Induction basics before you call
An induction zone only heats magnetic cookware. If a magnet does not stick firmly to the bottom of the pan, the zone will not start — that is normal. Use a pan whose base covers most of the ring. Also check for the PEt (pet safe) or child lock indicator, which disables the controls on purpose.
Induction cooktops need cooling air. Keep the vents under the cabinet clear; a blocked or failed fan triggers FE and shuts the zone down.

Totals include parts, labor and the $75 service call. Ranges reflect a typical repair and do not include extra work caused by difficult access — for example a built-in or tightly installed appliance, removing trim, cabinetry or other appliances, or additional disassembly and reassembly of the appliance itself. The final price also depends on the supplier's current part price, which changes with market and import conditions. Your exact price is quoted in writing after diagnosis, before any work starts. 90-day labor warranty; 1-year manufacturer warranty on parts.

LG cooktop questions
Why is my LG induction cooktop not heating?
Check the cookware with a magnet first, then check for a lock or Pet Safe mode. If the zone still does not heat and shows a code, the zone sensor, cooling fan or inverter board is the likely cause.
What does a blinking light mean on my LG cooktop?
On some LG induction cooktops the number of blinks is a code: for example, four blinks means water, metal or food on the control area, and six blinks means low voltage. See the full list in our cooktop error codes.
Can you replace the glass on an LG cooktop?
Yes, when LG still supplies the glass assembly for your model. We quote it after confirming availability.
