How the diagnosis tool works
The tool is built from the repairs our technicians do on LG appliances in Las Vegas and Henderson. For each symptom it lists the causes we find most often, in order. It cannot replace an in-home diagnosis with meters and LG test modes, but it tells you what you are probably dealing with, what you can check safely and what a repair is likely to cost.
When to skip the tool and call
- You smell gas, or a gas burner or oven will not stay lit — turn the gas off and call.
- You see sparks, smell burning plastic, or a breaker keeps tripping.
- Water is leaking onto the floor and will not stop.
- Food is warming in the refrigerator — the clock is ticking on what is inside.
