Gas safety comes first
If you smell gas, do not use any burner or electrical switch. Turn off the gas valve behind the range, leave the house and call your gas utility (Southwest Gas) from outside. Call us after the utility has made it safe. A burner that clicks but will not light is not dangerous by itself, but do not let gas flow unlit for more than a few seconds.

Totals include parts, labor and the $75 service call. Ranges reflect a typical repair and do not include extra work caused by difficult access — for example a built-in or tightly installed appliance, removing trim, cabinetry or other appliances, or additional disassembly and reassembly of the appliance itself. The final price also depends on the supplier's current part price, which changes with market and import conditions. Your exact price is quoted in writing after diagnosis, before any work starts. 90-day labor warranty; 1-year manufacturer warranty on parts.

LG range questions
Why is my LG oven not heating but the stovetop works?
On an electric range, the bake element or the oven temperature sensor has usually failed, or a relay on the main board. On a gas range, the most common cause is a weak oven igniter — it glows but does not draw enough current to open the gas valve.
How do I check error codes on my LG range?
Most LG ranges do not show stored fault codes on their own. On many models a technician can display them through a key combination in test mode. We read the code history during diagnosis.
Why does my LG gas range keep clicking?
Moisture or food under a burner cap, a misaligned cap, or a failed spark switch. Dry the burner thoroughly and reseat the cap. If it still clicks with all knobs off, the spark switch or spark module needs replacement.
Is it worth fixing an LG range?
Usually. Elements, igniters, sensors and switches are inexpensive repairs. Even a main board is far less than a new range.
