The AE / E1 leak code, explained
LG dishwashers have a float switch in the base pan. If water collects there — from a leak or from oversudsing — the float rises and the dishwasher shows AE (some models E1) and runs the drain pump to protect your floor. The fix is never to just dry the pan: we find where the water came from (door seal, sump gasket, a cracked hose, the inlet valve or suds from the wrong detergent) and repair it. Details: LG dishwasher AE or E1 code.
Las Vegas hard water and LG dishwashers
Very hard water leaves white film, clogs spray arm nozzles and shortens heater life. Keep rinse aid full (LG ships at level 2; raise it to 3–4 for Las Vegas water), clean the filter monthly, and run a dishwasher cleaner every 1–2 months. More: hard water guide.

Totals include parts, labor and the $75 service call. Ranges reflect a typical repair and do not include extra work caused by difficult access — for example a built-in or tightly installed appliance, removing trim, cabinetry or other appliances, or additional disassembly and reassembly of the appliance itself. The final price also depends on the supplier's current part price, which changes with market and import conditions. Your exact price is quoted in writing after diagnosis, before any work starts. 90-day labor warranty; 1-year manufacturer warranty on parts.

LG dishwasher questions
Why is my LG dishwasher not draining?
Usually a clogged filter or sump, a blocked air gap or garbage disposal knockout, or a kinked drain hose. A failed drain pump is next. See LG dishwasher not draining.
How do I clear the AE code on my LG dishwasher?
Turn off power, find and fix the source of the water, then tilt or towel-dry the base pan so the float drops. If AE returns, there is still a leak — book a diagnosis rather than running it again.
How much does LG dishwasher repair cost?
Most LG dishwasher repairs cost $180 to $370 in total in Las Vegas and Henderson; a wash motor runs $280 to $520.
Why are my dishes still wet in my LG dishwasher?
Most often the rinse aid is empty. LG dishwashers also rely on the heater, a dry fan or an auto-open door on some models. See LG dishwasher not drying.
