LG WashTower not turning on or not responding

When an LG WashTower is completely dead, check the outlet and breaker first (electric models also need the dryer's 240 V supply), then child lock. Because both machines run from one center control panel, a dead or frozen display often points to the control/display board or its power supply — typically $260 to $530 to replace.

Safe checks

  1. Check the breaker(s) and the outlet with another appliance.
  2. Unplug the WashTower for 5 minutes, then restore power.
  3. If the display shows CL, press and hold the child lock button for 3 seconds.
  4. Try starting the washer and dryer separately. Only one side dead? That narrows it down.

When to call

No display with good power, a display that freezes or shows random segments, or a failure right after a storm. See LG WashTower repair.

Questions

Does the WashTower have one control board or two?

The center control panel runs both machines, and each machine has its own main board. A dead display usually points to the center control or its power supply.
