Which half is the code for?
The center control panel shows codes for whichever unit is running. If you are not sure, start only the washer or only the dryer and watch which side of the display reports the code. LG's own guidance for the WashTower points to the front load washer code list for the lower unit and the dryer code list (standard or heat pump) for the upper unit.
Most common washer (lower unit) codes

| IE | Washer did not fill | Open both faucets; check hoses and inlet screens; inlet valve if water is on. |

| LE | Motor locked | Rotor position sensor, stator or wiring. Call for repair. |
| dE / dE1 / dE2 | Washer door not closed / not locked | Close firmly; door lock assembly if it persists. |
| PE | Water level sensor error | Call for repair. |
| tCL | Tub Clean reminder | Run Tub Clean with an empty drum. |
Most common dryer (upper unit) codes

When to call
If the whole tower is dead, or the center display freezes or shows garbled segments, the cause is usually the control/display board or its power supply rather than either machine. See LG WashTower repair.

OE on a WashTower is the washer's drain error. Clean the drain pump filter behind the bottom-front access panel.
Why does my WashTower dryer show d90?
The dryer exhaust is about 90% restricted. WashTowers in hallway closets often vent through long runs to the roof; clean the full vent before using the dryer again.
